The Foundations: Deconstructed

The basis on which something is established or developed. The underlying principle from which everything else is built.

The Foundations is a collection of everyday pieces — designed to be the backbone of a cohesive wardrobe.

Built for repeat wear, and made to last through it.

Each piece is chosen for what it brings — to an outfit, to a wardrobe, and to the way it's actually worn day to day.

Each piece in this collection is designed to look the part and to work within it. Fabrics are chosen for how they feel, how they move, and how they perform — whether that's breathability in the heat, drape through the body, or the way a material develops character over time.

Form and function are engineered in unison — details like pleats, pocket placements, and adjustable closures aren't just aesthetic decisions — they're functional ones. The two are never treated separately.

Rather than designing individual pieces, this collection was conceived together — with a shared colour palette, complementary textures, and a common design language carried across every piece.

Each item can be worn with the others.
That's not a coincidence.

Every piece began with a question — what's missing, what doesn't work well enough, what could be made better. The answer shaped everything that followed: the fabric, the construction, the fit, the details.

The goal is an ongonig collection where every piece earns its place — and where adding one makes everything else more useful.

When I started designing this collection, the brief I kept coming back to was simple: make something that works for the person wearing it. Not just something that photographs well, not something that follows a trend — something that fits well, moves well, works well, lasts, and is loved.

That's still the brief.
